Dinah Pye AGSM DIP.ED CFPS Welsh Woman Of The Year Winner 2004
studied flute, recorders and piano at the Guildhall School
of Music and Drama in London, early instruments at King's College,
London, Education at London University and Music Consultancy at
Reading University. She has performed with a number of orchestras
and chamber ensembles while developing her career as a music educator
and private music teacher in London, the Midlands and in Wales.
As a Head of Music, Mentor, Advisor and Consultant Dinah has shared
her successful style of teaching and resources throughout the UK.
As a private teacher success has resulted in students achieving
pathways into a wide range of employment in the music industry,
teaching via several universities, solo careers via Chethams as
well as successful careers in the West End and the Royal Shakespeare
Company.
With over 30 years experience involving all aspects of the performing
arts in the community and music education including training children
for The Royal Opera House, Covent Garden,
ten years as a programme writer for the BBC National Orchestra
of Wales, National Adviser for the Arts Council
of Wales, Founder of Showcase / Sioe Gerdd Performing
Arts Association and an accredited e-trader Dinah has combined
her skills to develop Active Music Services in
order to share her success with a wider audience.
